Biography:

Yi-Ting Chang moved to the United States in 2015 to pursue a dual doctoral degree in English and Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. Her research interests include Asian/American and Transpacific studies, environmental humanities and feminist theory. Her article "'I see it feelingly': Environmental Identities in Lila, Train Dreams and Child of God" is forthcoming in ISLE: Interdisciplinary Studies in Literature and Environment-- the official journal of the Association for the Study of Literature and Environment. Her book reviews are forthcoming in MELUS: Multi-Ethnic Literature of the United States and Journal of Asian American Studies.

Aside from research, she is fond of creative pedagogy. She created the blog Writing: A Meeting of Minds (https://writetogethersite.wordpress.com) to encourage her students to write outside of the classroom. She enjoys working with the local community and makes her students apply what they have learned to life outside the classroom and beyond school.
